It feels like you are not trying to have fun with the game. If it is not a game for you, just dont play it I guess. That being sad, I think your points of critique are accurate and deserving. Im interested to see the game, when it is fully developed. : )

1:06:10 turrets are a great way to have higher rate of suppressing creep Allows easier safe keeping of your nullifiers Also, pylons have faster delivery (not just range) Helps a lot with keeping your frontline refilled and ready to blast creep :) Would love to see more videos, especially with the few "kinks ironed out" by the comment sections Could be quite a smooth ride next time :P

Stashes require 2x wood, was that 0x resources just recently patched out? That's what happened with my first bandit camp... oh sh*t oh sh*t oh sh*t. Just started the other day, doing a Hunter/Thieving/Adventurer. The run & shoot cheese is really great and adds a lot of suspense and thought, but keeps you out of harms way w/ enough arrows (which usssually are recoverable). Running a very high dex setup w/ all my ordered armor sporting owl feathers (+1) from owlmen villages, and aim to start pickpocketing towns soon. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure dex has helped me dodge, or rather "Parry" attacks, but it ups the damage of BOTH bow and dagger (dagger is a loose term, they have kukris & kamas as well). I usually find fishmen, xyzmen, etc villages and get food from butchering them lol. Wood needs to be "crafted" into firewood, then the firewood be "Salvaged" iirc. I'm still a noob, but it's been a neat game so far, and def has a reasonable learning curve.

If it wasn't perma-death like ftl I'd probably play the hell out of it. Can't get invested in harvesting otherwise. Love the graphics

Respectfully, I like the "Harvest Moon" elements of the game, although I wish they would have been implemented differently. It's much too basic for a game to start you off with all of these lv 1. tools and expect you to want to use them again, for the umpteenth time. It would make _much more sense_ if you had to actively decide to buy a tool, because you are _incentivized_ and actively _want_ to use that tool to pursue a specific growth strategy. I do think there's too much story. Then again, the alternative to that is to have something like Pixel Piracy, where there is absolutely no text and the game feels "unpolished." So, it's a mixed bag. What I hate, however, are these completely tasteless stories that, for some reason, have become so popular amongst millennial writers. For instance, what kind of island is called "Seablip"? You cannot even select the sex of your character in this game, but you can give them pink hair and certain hairstyles which imply a specific gender... What's the deal with that? It's just so cutesy, unrealistic, and post-modern in its design, that I can't get behind it.

If the devs haven't already, they should look at a mobile game called Pirate Power and it's ship combat. Stardew Valley also has a rogue-lite section when you go mining, so it's not unusual for these types of games to bend or blend genres. Also, as much as I love Stardew, nobody would call that game's combat.. good. Or involved. I'd like to see the game lean more into the ship stuff and be light on the "chores," like watering, but I don't mind base management.

I completely understand where you're going with your takes on the game Picking it up recently, I felt a little overwhelmed/confused on what to do. I really enjoy the ship battles but not so much the island exploring

Not my favorite AA video, felt like too much complaining about the game while missing/skipping core mechanics.

I hate to say this, because games like Terraria were very nice. But deciding to make your game a 2d sidescroller (as opposed to top-down like Stardew Valley) really limits what you can EVER do with the game.. As a dev, and as a player. I really dont think its a good choice for farming / exploration / building style games. Yes i'll say it, i think Terraria would have been even better if it was top-down instead, so you had more directions to explore than just "was that thing to the left or right".

Ludonarrative Dissonance: The Game

This feels like one of those kitchen sink type games that always has something to do. I like FTL but I really gotta want ship battles specifically to play it. This looks fun.

Speaking of pretty but flawed games, could you try out Synergy sometime? All these Early Access games that are still rough are driving me mad cause there’s no telling if they’ll actually improve or even really finish it.
